The Stallion hit the road for the first time this past Saturday against the Portage (IN) Rage. For the first time this year the Stallion offense capitalized when in the red zone. The scoring was kicked off by perennial all-star WR Magic Jones on a 34 yd TD reception from QB Brandon Jewett. The offense kept rolling with 2TDs from WR Rocky Bounds, one from WR Diaab Muhammad and WR Lamon Hudson. TE Crhis Paschal pulled in his first TD of the year to add to the score. The ground game saw the end zone also. The Stallions “Ultra-Back” Xavier Mead plunged in for a TD.
For the first time this year the defense scored. CB Fred Berry picked off of Portage pass and took it back for 31 yds for the score. Berry leads the team in INTs with 4.
The kicking duties were split between Mark Wilcox and Sam Onassi. The final score was 55-8 Stallions.
